Surveys-Data Release (Wave Two)


To encourage academic exchange and the sharing of survey research, the Program for East Asia
Democratic Studies, under the direction of Professors Fu Hu and Yun-han Chu of the National Taiwan
University Department of Political Science, has released the results of the first wave of the Asian
Barometer Surveys for reference and use by the academic community.
The first results from the second wave of the Asian Barometer Surveys are scheduled for release on 19
January 2009. The results from all 13 countries covered by the second wave surveys will be released in
succession.

 


The initial data release will be from surveys completed between 2005 and 2006 in five East Asian
countries (the Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand, Mongolia and Singapore). The files for release will
include the English questionnaire, the data files (in SPSS format) and the sampling methods. For
