John T. Williams Award

The Society for Political Methodology is pleased to announce the winner of 
the second annual John T. Williams Dissertation Award for the best 
dissertation proposal accepted in the past year.


Arthur Spirling, of the University of Rochester, has been selected the 
winner of this Award for his thesis proposal, "Bringing Intuition to 
Fruition: `Turning Points' and `Power' in Political Methodology."  The 
thesis committee is chaired by Curt Signorino.

Our congratulations to both of them from the committee,
John Aldrich (chair), Michael Colaresi, and Tse-Min Lin
