Dear Colleagues,

The Williams Prize recognizes graduate research in political methodology. Any dissertation proposal defended between 5/1/2017 and 5/1/2018 is eligible for nomination. Completed dissertations are ineligible for this award.

The nomination should include the student’s dissertation proposal as a pdf file, formatted within reasonable bounds: e.g., no more than 30 single-spaced pages, 11 or 12 pt font, including all tables, graphs, and references. Except for minor editing to conform to these formatting requirements, the work submitted should be the work defended and not a later revision. A one-page executive summary describing the proposal’s contribution is greatly encouraged. The executive summary will not count against the 30 page limit. A list of previous Williams Prize proposals is here: https://www.cambridge.org/core/membership/spm/about-us/awards/john-t-williams-dissertation-prize <https://www.cambridge.org/core/membership/spm/about-us/awards/john-t-williams-dissertation-prize>.

The deadline for nominations is May 11.

Please email nominations to Xun Pang ([log in to unmask] <mailto:[log in to unmask]>).

Best,
