Assistant Professor in Public Law
The Department of Political Science at the University of Akron invites applicants for a tenure-track position at the rank of assistant professor in Public Law beginning in Fall 2012. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching the department's courses on constitutional law, the judicial process and civil liberties, but will also be encouraged to develop additional courses consistent with the individual's research agenda. The successful candidate also will have an opportunity to participate in the research and scholarly activities of the department's Center for Conflict Management and the allied Ray C. Bliss Institute of Applied Politics.
Successful candidates must have a completed PhD by the time the position begins but ABDs will be considered.
