Dear PolMeth Community,

We are thrilled to announce the Call for Abstracts for the 2024 Latin American PolMeth (LAPolMeth) meeting, set to take place at Universidad de la República in Montevideo, Uruguay, on November 22-23, 2024.

This gathering continues our tradition of advancing the development and application of innovative research methodologies within the political science community in the region. The event is organized in collaboration with Universidad de la República, the Society for Political Methodology, Princeton University, and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

This two-day conference will feature a variety of workshop-style panels, a poster session for graduate students, and keynote addresses by distinguished figures in the field. We welcome submissions that demonstrate methodological innovations and research applying advanced methods to pivotal political and social questions. While we aim to promote quantitative social science research in Latin America, we are keen to include contributions from scholars focusing on global regions.

To submit your abstract, please use the application form available on our website (https://www.cambridge.org/core/membership/spm/conferences). The submission window will close on June 14, 2024. We ask applicants to provide their paper title, author details, and an abstract not exceeding 3,000 characters. Graduate students should indicate their intention to participate in the poster session.

Applicants will be informed of the committee's decisions by July 1st, 2024. For more details about the conference and the latest updates, please visit our event site (https://lapolmeth.info/montevideo2024/).

We look forward to welcoming you to Montevideo for what promises to be an engaging meeting.
Sincerely,

The LAPolMeth Organizing Team
