The Data Science Institute <https://datascience.uchicago.edu/> and the
Center for Effective Government <https://effectivegov.uchicago.edu/>
at the University
of Chicago invites applications for its Data and Democracy Postdoctoral
Scholars programs with appointments starting in August 2023. Postdocs in
this program will advance interdisciplinary data-driven approaches,
methods, and applications in research related to digital media,
disinformation,and emergent threats to  democracy. This unique program
provides postdocs with the opportunity to pursue original research on
significant questions in data science, while also developing specialized
domain expertise in one public policy, economics, public governance and
media studies.

Drawing on the University of Chicago’s top-ranked programs,
world-renowned faculty,
as well as a vibrant and quickly expanding data science ecosystem, this
program will allow postdoctoral scholars to engage in field-defining data
science and artificial intelligence research. Our positions carry a
competitive salary, generous research funding stipends, and benefits.
