Hi,

I am looking to recruit a Research Assistant to work with me, Natalia Bueno
(Emory), and Ugo Medrado (U. Salamanca) starting as soon as possible, and
working a total of roughly 12 weeks over the next 8 months (with the
possibility of re-engagement). The RA would help validate the factual
accuracy of statements made about current events in Colombia surrounding
crime and migration, conduct daily data quality checks during data
collection, organize and clean data, and analyze data.

The position would require:
• knowledge of and experience in Colombia
• knowledge of data on economic, social, and crime conditions in
Colombia
• proficient knowledge of R
• professional competency in both Spanish and English

PhD students/candidates would be preferred, although others with the above
qualifications would be considered.

Work will be concentrated in February, April, July, August, and September
2022. The hours will vary, but when RA is most needed, it is expected that
you will work a maximum of 10-15 hours each week remotely.

This will be paid at a rate of $17.50/hour.

Please submit your CV and a brief cover letter that makes clear how you
meet the criteria (both documents with your name in the file name) to
