Dear Polmeth colleagues:

A research team from the DEMED project (Democracy Under Threat: How Education Can Save It), headed by Prof. Anja Neundorf at the University of Glasgow, is looking for published and unpublished academic studies on the effect of adult civic education on democratic values.

Do you know any?

We are currently conducting a meta-analysis on the effect of adult civic education on democratic values among individuals over 18 years of age. Our definition of “adult civic education” is broad: It includes information campaigns, media campaigns, SMS campaigns, online interventions comprised of short videos, workshops, in-person canvassing studies etc.

We are searching for experimental and quasi-experimental studies (outside of the US and other established liberal democracies) where *at least one* of the outcomes analyzed are democratic values such as support for democracy, support and trust in democratic institutions, or political tolerance.

If you are aware of any study, either conducted by you or by someone else, that is not included in the list linked to below, please contact me [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> or Anja Neundorf [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>. We are interested in both published and unpublished work (working papers, drafts, dissertations).

For the list of studies that are currently included in the data base and for more information about the project, please go to https://www.gla.ac.uk/research/az/democracyresearch/datamethods/searchforpapersforameta-analysis/.

Thank you —

Steve
