Dear all,

The Department of Government at the University of Essex is seeking to

recruit up to five faculty members on permanent contracts.

We will consider any subfield of political science and all levels of

seniority from lecturer (~ assistant professor) to full professor.

The job ad can be found online at

https://www.jobs.ac.uk/job/CFZ042/open-rank-in-political-science and at

https://vacancies.essex.ac.uk/tlive_webrecruitment/wrd/run/ETREC107GF.open?VACANCY_ID=609898NznE&WVID=9918109NEm&LANG=USA.

The deadline for applications is 1 June 2021.

The five lines are part of an ongoing expansion and strategic investment

by the University. The Department of Government at Essex is the

top-ranked institution in the UK Research Excellence Framework (REF) for

Politics and has been ranked in the global top 30 for political science

in the QS World University Rankings 2020 and top 10 by the Centre for

World University Rankings.

The job ad states a few areas of expertise currently in demand in our

Department, but this is an open search, and we are interested in

attracting the best talent.

Best regards,

Philip
