Hi
I would like to bring to your attention the second published Element in the series that Mike Alvarez and I edit (Elements in Quantitative and Computational Methods for the Social Sciences). A Practical Introduction to Regression Discontinuity Designs: Foundations is by Matias Cattaneo, NicolasIdrobo and our good friend and colleage Rocio Titiunik. This is a great intro (if I do say so!) to RD designs for anyone from undergraduates doing research, Ph.D. students and researchers. It is the first volume of a projected two, with the second one being more advanced.
The Element is available at: https://www.cambridge.org/core/elements/practical-introduction-to-regression-discontinuity-designs/F04907129D5C1B823E3DB19C31CAB905 <https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__www.cambridge.org_core_elements_practical-2Dintroduction-2Dto-2Dregression-2Ddiscontinuity-2Ddesigns_F04907129D5C1B823E3DB19C31CAB905&d=DwMFaQ&c=slrrB7dE8n7gBJbeO0g-IQ&r=AiIegHMqBltkhSgXyKg_pA&m=W1XNygpfBRdiL-bZALm5WM-GHvX4V9K-9JaYLU4M1_E&s=t3L66UkTqs9bAGpMwMdp7okDLDqAAe894b7fyn4hpmE&e=>or you can click on the DOI: https://doi.org/10.1017/9781108684606 <https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__doi.org_10.1017_9781108684606&d=DwMFaQ&c=slrrB7dE8n7gBJbeO0g-IQ&r=AiIegHMqBltkhSgXyKg_pA&m=W1XNygpfBRdiL-bZALm5WM-GHvX4V9K-9JaYLU4M1_E&s=s1FwYVcpP3uBQJFXBgDvqnxUuE_sIF4MNLCQ1q3dx48&e=>.

This Element is free online until Dec. 25th.

I think many of the readers of polmeth (and their friends, colleagues and loved ones) will find this Element very useful.

Thanks
Neal
