The Ethical AI team at Google is looking for a research intern based in our
San Francisco office. The ideal candidate should be interested in the
histories of machine learning datasets. They should have experience and
training in the areas of science and technology studies, history of science
and/or technology, media studies, cultural anthropology, sociology of
science or related fields. We seek motivated and enthusiastic colleagues
with a solid research agenda who take a critical approach to data and
sociotechnical systems.

The candidate will have an opportunity to work closely with many
interdisciplinary researchers at Google. They will be expected to produce
high-quality research and will be encouraged to publish in top journals and
conferences in their areas of expertise.

Research internships at Google offer a highly competitive salary, an
exciting work environment, and research and career-building events.

Applicants must

   -

   Be enrolled in a graduate (Masters or PhD) degree program;
   -

   Have experience in archival and qualitative research methods


The internship is planned for the summer of 2020.  A minimum of 12 weeks is
required.
