Dear colleagues,
Mark Pickup and I would like to bring to your attention a new ICPSR short course we are teaching this summer on “Advanced Topics in Dynamic Panel Models” at Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, BC. We will cover the following over three days:
Day 1: Panel data fundamentals, including testing and modeling temporal dependence, and unobserved heterogeneity
Day 2: Panel unit root and cointegration tests, panel error correction models, and the pooled mean group estimators
Day 3: Modeling panel data with small T and overcoming Nickell bias (e.g., GMM, transformed-likelihood estimators)
Would you mind forwarding this to any students or colleagues who you think may be interested? Anyone who uses cross-sectional time series data (e.g., political economy or multiple panel survey data) should find this class useful. The course will be held July 2-4 this summer. More information, including details on applying, can be found on ICPSR’s website: https://www.icpsr.umich.edu/icpsrweb/sumprog/courses/0273.
If you have any questions, please feel free to email me: [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>.
Thanks,
—Andy—
