The School of Government and Public Policy of the University of Arizona invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate I position.
The selected candidate will work with Dr. Javier Osorio on a research project funded by the Department of Defense through the Minerva Initiative.
This project aims to understand the conditions and factors that enable armed non-state actors to become the predominant providers of governance to local populations in a given territory and the circumstances under which such non-state armed actors’ governance accrues legitimacy. At this stage, the project will focus primarily on the generation of event data on the presence and behavior of non-state armed actors in Colombia.
This a full-time (1.0 FTE), one year position. Expected start date is August 13, 2018.
