Duties & Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Assist Harvard Law School students, staff, and faculty with empirical research.
• Formulate research designs and suggest ways to improve designs, identify potential problems, recommend and implement solutions.
• Investigate, analyze and interpret data using multivariate statistical modeling.
• Provide consulting and programming for database management.
• Assist with procuring data sets and setting up data for use with statistical packages such as Stata and SPSS. Provide consulting and assistance with statistical packages.
• Assist in designing and implementing surveys.
• Assist in designing and implementing experiments, online and field.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
• Create and present overviews of statistical analysis, analyzing with Stata; create surveys in Qualtrics and Amazon Mechanical Turk.
Basic Qualifications
• M.S. in Statistics; or Ph.D. in Social/Behavioral Science with emphasis on quantitative/statistical methods.
• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Advanced knowledge of Stata
Additional Qualifications
• Extensive experience in application of quantitative methods to social science and/or legal data.
• Ability to create and run surveys on Qualtrics and Amazon Mechanical Turk.
• Experience teaching quantitative course(s).
• Knowledge of SPSS and R
Additional Information: This is a term appointed position, currently expected to extend through 6/30/16, subject to available funding and business needs.
