The Department of Political Science at Clemson University invites
applications for a tenure-track position at the assistant professor level
to begin in August 2018. The successful candidate will have a
specialization in Comparative Politics that does not duplicate the existing
strengths of the department. We especially seek candidates who demonstrate
rigorous analytical research and the ability to teach the department’s
undergraduate methods course. In addition to maintaining an active research
agenda, the successful candidate will reflect the department’s commitment
to quality undergraduate teaching. Clemson University is the land-grant
university for the state of South Carolina and is located within the
foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains 30 miles southwest of Greenville. The
Department offers a BA and BS in Political Science and a Ph.D. in Policy
Studies.

QUALIFICATIONS

A Ph.D. in Political Science by the time of employment is required.
