Dear Colleagues:

Please see below for a job posting from the La Follette School at Wisconsin. If La Follette were to hire a political scientist, the appointment might be joint with the Department of Political Science.

The La Follette School of Public Affairs at the University of Wisconsin-Madison seeks to make one tenure-track appointment at the assistant or advanced-assistant professor level. We encourage applicants from all aspects of international public affairs. Empirical scholars who specialize in international development (especially trade or non-profit related research) and/or international social policy are particularly encouraged to apply. We seek candidates with a productive research program with high publishing potential and a commitment to teaching. University and professional service as appropriate are required.

Applicants should have completed Ph.D. training in economics, political science, sociology, public administration, public policy or a related social science field prior to the start of the appointment. Appointments will begin in August 2015. Applications should include the candidates CV, a writing sample, and three letters of reference and/or names of references. The University of Wisconsin is an EOE/AA Employer. Women and minorities are encouraged to apply.

The La Follette School is ranked 12th among public affairs schools in the United States, one of many highly ranked social science units at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. The University is consistently ranked among the top universities in terms of success in federally funded research grants, and is highly supportive of an interdisciplinary approach to scholarship.

Applications will only be accepted electronically. Material should be submitted to [log in to unmask] by November 26, 2014 to ensure full consideration.
