Dear POLMETH community,
I am currently working on an encouragement design and I was wondering if
anyone has any advice on (or experience with) varying the "intensity" of the
encouragement.
For instance, assuming a sample of 750 (525 treatment and 225 control), I
want to vary the number of reminders to listen to a radio program. Everybody
in the treatment group will receive at least 1 reminder but half will
receive, say, 3 or 4 reminders. Since my expectation is that those who
receive more encouragements will be more likely to comply, I suppose this
may have some implications for estimating the CACE. Of course, this also
means there will be two different ITTs and two different compliance rates.
Are there any issues I should be aware of for such a design? Any advice or
suggestion will be greatly appreciated.
Best regards,
