Dear all,

My apologies for my ignorance, but I am having a terrible time finding
GSS-style attitude surveys that have state codes - are there over-time
attitude/ public opinion surveys that identify what state a respondent lives
in?

The GSS, which has some nice questions, is maddeningly unhelpful when it
comes to geography (8-9 'regions' in the usual dataset; and state-codes
available only after a non-trivial application process, and $700)

The ANES has state-level codes, but (1) is only every 4 years and (2) is not
that great on *respondent's* attitudes (more on how the respondent judges
political figures' attitudes, etc.)

I've poked unsuccessfully around in ICPSR, but am generall very frustrated
-- and surprised -- at how difficult this seems to be.

Any help / pointers would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Scott
