2006 Gosnell Prize for Excellence in Political Methodology

"Synthetic Control Methods for Comparative Case Studies:
Estimating the Effect of California's Tobacco Control Program"
by Alberto Abadie, Alexis Diamond, and Jens Hainmueller
(presented on panel 35-5 at this year's MPSA meeting) is the winner of
the 2006  Gosnell Prize for Excellence in Political Methodology which
is awarded for the best work in political methodology presented at any
political science conference during the preceding year.
