Hi,
I apologize for some lack of clarity in the call for graduate
applications for a conference on Experimentation (see call
below). Any student who has not yet received his or her Ph.D. is
eligible. The proposal can involve a specific experimental plan or a
more general description of the student's interest. Also, I'm afraid
that there is not an open call for papers to be presented. The papers
have already been solicited for a Handbook of Experimental Political Science.

Call For Applications:
Graduate Student Participation in Conference on "Experimentation in
Political Science"

The rise of experiments is one of the most notable methodological
developments in political science over the past decade. In order to
ensure that the discipline maximizes its return on experimental
methodology, a unifying conference will be held at Northwestern
University on May 28th-29th, 2009. The conference is hosted by James
N. Druckman (Northwestern University), Donald P. Green (Yale
University), James H. Kuklinski (University of Illinois), and Arthur
Lupia (University of Michigan). The conference papers will be
subsequently published in the first Handbook of Experimental
Political Science. Graduate students in political science are invited
to apply to attend the conference. Their involvement will entail
attending sessions and other conference activities, and having lunch
each day with a faculty mentor. All expenses will be paid. To apply,
please write a one page description of your work and provide two
academic references. Send applications to James N. Druckman at
<mailto:[log in to unmask]>[log in to unmask], by March
1st. Applicants will be evaluated by the conference organizers.
