University of Texas at Austin: Formal Theory and/or Statistical Methods
The Department of Government invites applications for a tenure-track
position in formal theory and/or statistical methods. The appointment will
be contingent on budgetary approval. The successful candidate would
ideally have strong substantive interests in a major subfield of the
discipline as well as competence to teach advanced formal theory and/or
statistical methods at the undergraduate and graduate level. Applicants
must hold a Ph.D. for appointment as Assistant Professor or expect to
obtain it within a year of joining the faculty as Instructor. Duties
include undergraduate and graduate teaching, research, and service to the
Department, College of Liberal Arts, and the University. The deadline for
applications is September 30, 2008. Applicants should send a vitae,
transcripts, three letters of recommendation, examples of scholarly work,
