No. That is not a solution to problems of stationarity. Look at the Springer
monograph entitled "Analysis of Integrated and Cointegrated Time Series with
R" for an accessible treatment of dealing with integrated time series.

Dear colleagues:

Say I have a nonstationary time series that contains a unit root and
is integrated of order 1. Can I simply estimate the equation using the
lagged value of the dependent variable on the right-hand side? Aside
from the potential multicollinearity caused by the addition of the
lagged dependent variable, is that not the same as estimating the
equation using the first difference of the dependent variable?
